[x] My dad is such a dude. He bought the latest Franz Ferdinand and Killers albums over the weekend, and I think he deserves a werd up just for being a cool dad (even though I’m not much of a fan of either band). So much better than having a dad that listens to Neil Diamond. We’ll ignore the fact that he bought Il Divo (elnino?) at the same time.
[x] The news of the week that has got (almost) every digital music collector in the country wetting themselves is the release of the Australian iTunes Music Store. I haven’t had a look yet (I’m using my folk’s computer until we get wireless, and they don’t have iTunes, and I can’t really be bothered downloading it), but it will be interesting to see how successful it is. I’m not sure if I’ll be much of a user – I’m not a ‘singles’ person, so it really depends how obscure they’re going to get with their music offerings. I prefer to have a whole album and really get a feel for a band. I’ll have a look when my computer is up n running, however.
[x] I’m off to Box Deli tomorrow night for a friend’s birthday, and whilst I don’t have anything particularly exciting to say about it at this stage (though I’m sure some photos may appear somewhere towards the weekend), I thought it deserved a mention for two reasons: 1, the fucking super dooper website it offers to punters – really detailed, fantastic menu lists (including cocktails!). 2, the most majestic bar toilets I’ve come across in a LONG time, if for not other reason than the walls between cubicles are made of frosted glass…yet you can’t see your fellow pee-ers. I love awesome bathrooms. I’ll be sure to take some photos 
And on that note…I’m going to be drinking one of these tomorrow night, for sure!
