Well well well.

HAPPY GRAND FINAL EVE!!!!

Seriously, so fucking excited. This is going to be the maddest weekend ever, capping off the maddest week ever. I’m pretty sure it would be a good idea to step down from cloud nine at some point in the near future.

Went to Roller at the Rosemount last night for the first time, which is really cool! A pub atmosphere with DnB – mad :D Gday to Todd who is possibly reading, sorry for the lack of DnB Friday as promised, but I was pretty busy at work today!! I’ll make up for it with a big dose of DnB weekend on Tuesday!

Was meant to be heading to the re-launch of The Nine tonight, but I’m feeling somewhat knackered tonight! I think my week of limited sleep & intense euphoria has finally caught up with me this afternoon, so I’m going to save myself for Carla’s Grand Final party tomorrow. I’ve made the most awesome shirt to wear, I shall post photos at some point :P I’ve also made blue & yellow jelly shots – he he he. Mad. :P I feel like I’m not Eagle-themed enough at this point… but some blue & gold nailpolish will surely fix that :P Sunday I’ve got a massive hangover planned, as well as Roni Size which should be cool. Hopefully this weekend will be awesome, but not quite as mad as last year :P

I’ve got wireless, finally! Yay! I’ve been loathe to use my computer much in the past couple of weeks because I really hate sitting at a desktop (I do it for 12-14 hours a day usually, I don’t need to do it in my own time as well), so now I can lie down on my bed and geek about! Wahey!

And just quietly, before I go, I don’t think I’ve ever been happier than this past week. It’s insane, my head is running in frigging circles and I love it. I’ve been through times where I’m so happy I think I’m going to be sick. I’m pretty sure that a random and unexpected series of events last weekend lead to me meeting the most amazing person, and he’s making me feel like a ridiculous smitten little girl, and it’s fantastic.

Did I miss something?

Hilary got her Honours certificate, and there was apparently an Honours ceremony – huh?? I know nothing about any of these things!

I’m still absolutely 100% convinced that I’m going to wake up one day and someone will be like “Hahahahahaha gotcha. It’s not real. You didn’t get first class – you failed! Muaha”. And I’ll be like, “Oh”.

And then I’ll cry.

2 days until the maddest weekend ever! Yahee!

(Yes, I’m keeping quiet at the moment for a reason. No, not because nothing is happening.)

There’s chocolate fudge in the kitchen.

Fudge is a breakfast food, right?

Can it be?

I’m actually too scared to breathe.

I think my bosses are talking about firing me. Babow.

Hello Pineapple, if you’re watching :D

I have got an awesome Eagles-themed desktop on my computer. It’s actually not that awesome – just a yellow background with the logo in the middle – but its cool, none the less.

Urgh – work already feels horrible today. I was meant to be leaving early, but apparently my boss (the one that isn’t my dad) cracked the shits the other day over me leaving early 4 times a week to go to my other job (I don’t get paid for that hour, so I don’t see the problem). So I’m sure everyone will slowly trickle off during the afternoon, and I will have to stay here until 5pm on the dot, then rush home to catch the start of the footy.

Oh well. It’s only the Dockers. But I was hoping to get waxed this afternoon also, and it looks like I won’t have time for that. Yay for being hairy. I also wanted to dye my hair. Bah. Work’s gay.

I just remembered that I had a very involved dream last night about how “Ng” should not be classed as a surname – and that “Ong” and “Png” should also not be considered surnames. How does one pronounce Ng? Like, “ung”? I remember when I was a kid, and I did swimming training with this kid whose surname was Nguyen, and I always thought it was pronounced “Nah-gweye-en”, and then I convinced myself that it was actually “New-gent” (I was about ten. Shut up). Thank god for executed drug smuggler Van Nguyen setting the record straight (New-in, incase you’re like me and still wasn’t sure how to pronounce it until earlier this year).

Anyway, I think my point was that I have fucked up dreams that aren’t even interesting. Apologies to the (at least) one Ong that I know.

I’m scared of work today.

Obsession of the moment:

Google Calendar! I know! Coolest thing ever! I can access my schedule (busy as it is) wherever I happen to find a computer with the Internet! Wonderful!

Complaint, however: I can’t make all my events different colours; I can only change the colour of the calendar overall. That bites a bit of suckarse. But yay! I like calendars. I think it’s all part of my not-so-secret obsessive compulsive tendencies towards organisation.

Moving on.

So, good news – Summadayze next year is being held on Sunday January 7th – yes, the day after Southbound. Could this possibly mean a Southbound-Summadayze double for me? Quite possibly. Yay for living excessively without a care in the world (sort of). I still want to see Mylo. And Hybrid will also be good. Everyone else, meh.

I’m feeling seriously disgruntled in the workplace this morning. Do you see a sign on my desk that says “pleb for all causes”? No? Funny that. Do you own fucking scanning. I have time to waste.

An interestingly piss-weak statistic for a Wednesday afternoon:

“The 173rd Oktoberfest beer festival has swung into action in the German city of Munich, starting 18 days of high-spirited fun and drinking that are expected to attract six million visitors.

Tourists from around the world are expected to down 6.1 million litres of beer, roughly equivalent to one litre per person” (from ABC News).

I promise that I will drink far more than one litre of beer at next year’s Oktoberfest.

Way more.

I saw an accident on the way to work today.

Someone had been knocked off their bike by a car, and was lying on the road. I think it was a kid, maybe a teenager, but I couldn’t really tell. They didn’t look good. There were cops, and people crying. It was a really fucked up way to start the day. I don’t really understand how someone manages to not see a cyclist, though. But if it was a kid, there’s a good chance he/she road out in front of the car without thinking.

And after that depressing piece of news, I actually have nothing to say right now.
