Today I’m going to share with you something which I think is pretty much the most awesome thing in the whole world:
Yes, it’s a Sony ad (unfortunately not the best quality). Is it wrong that a Sony ad makes me insanely happy and squishy inside? Two reasons why I love this:
1. The song – Jose Gonzalez’s cover of The Knife’s Heartbeats. It’s beautiful.
2. The bouncy balls.
I often shit on about the fact that, if I’m dying of a terminal illness and my days are numbered, I want someone to recreate this ad for me. It doesn’t really matter if I get crushed to death by millions of bouncy balls, because I’ll be dying anyway. But just to see it, this sea of multicoloured balls all over the place, would be so amazing.
I know the Internet is awesome, but I never seem to use my brain when it comes to exploiting its wares. I always forget about Google Images when I’m looking for a picture, and I always forget about YouTube when I’m looking for a video. I remembered this morning, though! Ah, the benefits of being at work on my lonesome.
I’ve signed up for a YouTube account, incidentally, so the videos from Pendulum will hopefully be up by tonight (I’ll embed them here too, though).
PS: You’ll need Quicktime, but you can watch a higher quality version of the ad here.
And even cooler than that, I found a few flickr pages of people who saw it happening and took some photos! It’s real! It’s not computer generated! That makes me so happy!
