Perthies would’ve seen the Western Power adds this summer, urging us to set our air conditioners a little higher than normal, at 24 degrees, in order to conserve power and prevent outages this summer.
Well – the past two nights, we’ve had power outages – or semi-power, more like it. Dim lights, powerless appliances, pissweak fans; the only thing that works is the TV.
You know what sucks about this?
We didn’t even cause this power-outage. We don’t even have air conditioning.

I just got my phone bill for the month of January…
And after all the shit Rhys & I have been going through with money recently (i.e. never having enough of it), I was expecting my usual bill – in the area of $70 – $100. When I went to Europe last year, I changed my cap to the $29/month, because it’s only got a $15 minimum spend and I wasn’t going to be using my phone (or so I thought. I ended up putting it on global roaming and using it for the second half of my trip, and spending in the region of about $400). I never put it back up to $49/month, because I forgot I’d changed it in the first place, so I always go over my cap by a disgusting amount.
But not this month! My bill?
