It’s been a little light-on (as in scarce, not as in – the light has been on) in my blogging world lately, probably due to the fact that my head has been full of uni-related blogging information whilst I’ve been trying to sort out my candidacy. I’ve taken lots of photos, though, so I thought I’d let the pictures tell a thousand words, rather than me rambling for a thousand words, starting with my birthday weekend just over two weeks ago, up until the present time.

Breakfast at the Queens, Beaufort St Highgate, for my birthday (Sunday, 11 July)

Bowling @ Rosemount Bowl for my birthday (Sunday, 13 July)

Beers at the Rosemount Hotel, Fitzgerald St North Perth, for my birthday (Sunday, 13 July). This came complete with emo tears, free cocktails from the bar staff, and way too many shots of 1800 tequila.

I started making bento lunches for Rhys & I (Tuesday, 22 July)

We got a new TV and Rhys was so excited that he humped the box (Thursday, 24 July)

And then there was a new TV (Friday, 27 July)

The Swan River was shrouded in fog, making for a very ominous, eerie atmosphere. We couldn't see the city from the South Perth foreshore! (Saturday, July 26)

West Coast Eagles v St Kilda @ Subiaco Oval - Eagles won! (Saturday, 26 July)

We lined up for an hour and a half to get in to Major Break 5. Clare displayed her freakish glowing red eyes (Saturday, 26 July)

And it appears that at some point during the evening, we jumped out of a plane (Sunday, 27 July)

And we drank the last day of the weekend away at Brendon & Lukes (Sunday, 27 July)
A pretty good couple of weeks, if you ask me!

That meze platter looks fantastic! Was it as tasty as it looks?
Yep, it was pretty damn good!
The prices have gone up since I was last there, and the sizes a little smaller, but it was yummy still. $60 gets you an entree of breads and dips, the big meze platter, and coffee & cake at the end of the night – for two people!
One platter used to be enough for three people, but Rhys and I finished it easy. There was a bit more salad underneath there than normal! Or perhaps we were being particularly gutsy (as in piggish, not brave
) …
