So I said I’d blog every day…

I’m wondering what I’ve got myself into, having set a goal of blogging every day in 2009. I mean, I generally have a lot to say, but not much of it is terribly interesting.

Rhys just laughed at me for doing this. Oh well. He won’t be complaining when I need something to read.

My New Years Eve was brilliant – thanks for asking. It lasted until about 9pm on Thursday, so I guess it would have to had been great to go for so long. It involved close friends, a backyard, a great bbq with no less than six awesome salads, swimming, pink champagne (two bottles of) and random chats. It was so great not to head out anywhere busy — keeping it low key was definitely a winner. I’m definitely ready to get back to my normal life, though. A life that involves healthy eating and the gym and getting enough sleep and not drinking too much. I need a run and a stretch and to feel a bit healthier. The festive season has gone on long enough!

January is going to be pretty exciting. This coming weekend I’m going to Summadayze to (finally!!!) see Underworld play. Next weekend I will be attending the Perth International Beer Festival — so much for that not drinking thing. The weekend after that, Rhys and I are going to Rottnest for one day, then down to Busselton for a few days. The weekend after that, Rhys and I fly out to Melbourne for five days. Fun times ahead!

Right now, I’m off to download a free yoga class from a paid site that is apparently very good, and then chill and watch some terrible TV on Foxtel (we don’t have pay TV at home — we’re housesitting for my folks this week, looking after Bailey the Social Terrorist). I really want to get into yoga this year; currently, I only do Body Balance, which is good as well but fairly repetitive and not really yoga-ey enough, given that it’s a mix of yoga, pilates, and tai chi.

Happy 2009 everyone!
