In London

I made it to London, safe and well but completely frazzled. My hotel for tonight is really not what I was expecting – tiny, and doesn’t seem to be in the best area (I’m actually not even sure what suburb I’m in right now. There are a lot of hotels – and a lot of jerks – around, though). The room is stinking hot and the shower on my floor is broken. Oh, and I had to lug my suitcase up four flights of stairs, and the guy at reception was a bit of a cockhead.

All in all, I think I’m tired, grumpy, slightly homesick, and really hoping I can sleep tonight, after no more than 20 minutes sleep at any one time since Sunday morning. Not sure I will be able to manage, though. I’m not really tired now. It’s 5am Perth time. I should be tired, shouldn’t I?

I’m just happy I could find an open Internet connection. Being able to jump online an check my emails and blog has made me feel a bit more normal, even if I’m feeling so incredibly out of it right now.
