and this is what I think:

I´m still alive!

Hey there!

Despite what the lack of updates over the past few weeks would suggest, I am actually still alive. Internet has been hard to come by at times, and to be honest, I´m loving the break from constant online-ness. It´s nice not to worry about checking email, keeping up with blogs, and updating my own blog.

I´m currently in Cusco, Peru. We arrived back from Maccu Picchu last night, after four gruelling days of trekking in the Andes. More about that another time – let´s just say that my resolve (and body) was well and truly tested.

Other than Cusco, our group has traveled to Lima, Pisco, Paracas, Nasca, and Arequipa. We´ve done city tours, flown in single-engine cessnars (the single most terrifying experience of my life), gone dune-buggying and sandboarding in the Peruvian desert outside Nasca, and been white water rafting. We´ve also seen a bulkload of Incan ruins (one could say we´re pretty much all ruined out). I´ve eaten alpaca and ostrich, and fed grass to llamas, vicunas, and alpacas – though not the same one that I ate.

From here, we travel to Puno, and then on to Lake Titicaca, Copacabana, and La Paz before the tour ends. Rhys and I then head to Santiago for a few days of chilltime before arriving home on 21 Oct.

I probably won´t update again before then, so stay safe amigos.

Adios!
