A feast to feed a crowd.

Yesterday, Rhys and I had our wedding party over for brunch so everyone could meet. It’s quite a big group with a few people that had known each other for years, and a few people who’ve never met, so I thought it was a good way to get everyone together (rather than rocking up to the wedding in a year’s time and meeting some people for the first time ever!). I didn’t actually end up getting many photos as I completely forgot I even had a camera there, but I thought I’d share some pictures of the food that we (myself and my sister and Rhys, somewhat… he ended up entertaining people whilst Morgan and I finished cooking) whipped up!

We hosted the brunch at my parents’ place, because they’ve got a super awesome outdoor seating area with couches and shade (we have no shade at our house … we make everyone sit in the very hot and stinky tin shed, or under umbrellas that blow away), as well as a big kitchen — excellent for preparing food. It was fun! Two cartons of beer and six bottles of champagne were consumed, which doesn’t sound too bad between eleven people until you consider that one of the girls didn’t drink at all and another didn’t drink much. To be honest, I think it was mostly three of the girls and three of the boys who drank everything. Nevermind. It was a good day!

Wow, eleven in the bridal party – that is pretty big!

Twelve, actually – one of Rhys’s brothers couldn’t make it to breakfast because he had to work.

It’s big, but not uncommon these days.
